Work It
A few weeks ago, I was thinking about work. Well, mostly about the
emotionally, menatally and soul demanding jobs of today’s information age.
What’s the point of it all? Living like this, stressing ourselves out, even
during vacations, so that we retire tired, broken, old, depressed, our
grown-up kids having left us and awaiting the end of it all… and the
beginning of an afterlife that we haven’t even prepared well for. What the
frack are we really working for??

What is the Monkeysphere?
I really liked this piece! Amusing and funny!
Why do you get more upset about your beloved dog dying than about 1,000 people killed by a flood in a village in India? Why is it always Us v. Them? Why do racial stereotypes exist? This article is an interesting and entertaining take on questions like that.
NASA scientist: I lost a galaxy–anybody saw it?
I’m not really intrigued by the prospect of a hidden galaxy that’s under our noses all this time, but I like this stuff.

Amazon’s e-Reader
It’s promising, but it looks ugly. It may be better than Sony’s, though.

Great SP Concept: Application Transport Network
I like this concept: the service provider or telecom operator being a transport network for applications, and not just a mere transport network but more of a catalyst, with infra-services like security, customer-managed QoS, network-based middleware, traffic acceleration/shaping, etc.

Popcorn v. Genetic Engineering v. Evolution
If you believe in Evolution Theory, do you think genetic modification is hurting evolution? I personally think that evolution is a possibility, and that it doesn’t conflict with religion. Alright, perhaps I don’t buy into that we-were-apes part, but I think life’s biology in general does evolve, and with God’s will. So, Intelligent Design preachers and Evolution pros, shake hands and say sorry! Now let’s watch Planet of the Apes together.
While I prepare the popcorn, what do you think?

Give Away Your Fat!
Consider the Chaos Theory while considering this: when you eat less, you may be indirectly giving food to the hungry and needy. It’s another motivation to reduce your weight. What do you think?
